MOVEMBER FOUNDATION
Nick Halkitis is an advocate of the Movember Foundation, a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives.
In his 9th Year of ‘growing the mo’ Nick has raised thousands for the foundation and even achieved 1st place in 2013, and has also been in the top 3 in Australia for the last 5 years. But as Nick says “It’s not about coming first it’s about raising awareness of men’s health.” Over the past 9 years Nick has raised over $300,000 which is a great effort by Nick and his supporters.
“Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.”
